I'm alive! I swear!

I'm alive!  I swear!  Even though my last blood pressure reading was 98/50, the Dr. assures me that I do indeed have a pulse.

June is 9 weeks old.  NINE WEEKS!  I'm loving her easy disposition and her baby smell and cuddling her so much that I *almost* would consider having another.  *Almost*

My 34th birthday came and went last week.  I think August birthdays are the best.  Sunshine, blue skies, the horrid humidity of June and July is usually out of the way... it's just always so pleasant.  On the 8th we went to dinner with Mom & Dad and then over the weekend my fabulous husband took me to the MN Garlic Festival and then a Murder Mystery Dinner at Spicer Castle.  It was definitely a day to remember!  I love that man and his little surprises.  And his cheesy jokes.  And his ability to wear goofy hats and still look cute.

I'm in the middle of Week 5 of Reshape the Nation.  I've pretty much fallen off the wagon and I am wallowing in a pit of high carbs and sugar.  It tastes good.  Really though, after celebrating my birthday with several dinners out and general goofing off, my weightloss has stagnated.  I haven't GAINED any back, but the scale isn't moving down they way I want it to.  So I need to get back on track.  My official Pounds Lost total at 4 weeks was 9.  I'll be lucky if I can make another pound disappear by my six week weigh-in on Tuesday.  We shall see...

And I started back to work part-time at the beginning  of August.  I think I've got a pretty good balance of work and motherhood going on.  I'm only away from the kidlets for 4-5 hours a day - no mommy guilt and plenty of time to keep up with chores.  I'm using my brain and still in the same industry I left - so I'm able to keep up with everything car dealership related.  It'll be good for that someday when I want to return to working full-time.

Camp Honeybelle has been experiencing a little boom in sales.  The first half of the year was slow slow slow.  I'm learning the retail sales cycle; the second half of the year seems to be the time people start opening their wallets. Open them!  Open them wide at Camp Honeybelle!  ;)

Lastly, my laptop took a milk bath courtesy of Jack and now the keyboard doesn't work.  I haven't figured out how to load pictures onto Tom's desktop yet (where is the cute little memory card slot?  Or the camera USB cable?  Huh?) so I will be saving my pennies for a new one.  Until then, there will be limited pictures and posts both here and at the Camp.  Damnit!!
